Robyn Cox

My love of Dance started at the age of 5 when, like lots of little girls my Mum took me along to Ballet. I trained at a lovely Dance School in South Croydon formerly named the Alexandra Academy and eventually Dynamic Theatre Arts Academy. At the age of 14 I was lucky enough to secure a place at The Brit School where I achieved a B-Tech in Dance. I then trained at The Centre Performing Arts College in London and graduated with a Diploma in Dance and Musical Theatre and ISTD Level 3 Diploma in Dance Instruction. It was during my time at college that I first started teaching Dance. I was teaching various ISTD classes to children at a Dance School in Caterham and this experience is where my passion grew for teaching. After graduating I lived my dream and went on to perform for various different companies as a Dancer in the UK and abroad as well as working in the TV industry! After finishing my time as a performer I taught for a Dance School in Bristol and also provided after school Dance clubs for children locally. I loved every second of teaching at this School and yet another passion grew... to open my very own Dance school. Which brings me here, Emerald School Of Dance, my biggest passion yet!
